rosette wreath

a friend of mine made a bunch of these last year as gifts and for some reason, it didn't kick in until sometime in october that, hey, i could make one too. this puppy took a little more time than i thought it would but still, super easy. the wreath is an 18 inch, standard grapevine wreath, but any size would be cute.

getting a little closer...there were a lot of those little felt triangles in the upper right corner floating around the house for a while.

the detail.

and BAM! the finished product. and yes, i need to get rid of the pumpkins and raven mat. a little at a time, eh?

i'm thinking i'll probably add some green on it somewhere-some sort of viney thing? it needs a little more oomph to make it look christmas-y. i bought a smaller wreath and some white felt today that i'm thinking i'll make to hang in january. gotta have something to brighten things up during the january doldrums, right?

i've got lots and LOTS of projects lined up/in the works that i'll post as they get finished. IF they get finished might be a better way to phrase it, i guess. but i'm excited to show them to you!
