as is custom for the mormons here in the motherland (which is by no means derogatory because i am one of them), we went to see the lights at el plaza del templo.
i really wish i knew how to take good pictures at night. they're always either dark (like the first picture) or creepy red eyed. part of the problem is that i have gigantor eyes which look even gianter in night-time pictures. but let's just say that most of the problem is my lack of knowledge in the photography department.
these next two turned out fairly well though. i don't think i've gone to see the lights since 2006, maybe? and now i remember why: no parking+freezing temperatures+i could be wearing every article of clothing in my closet and still be cold=not that fun. not the worst, but not the best either. oh well-it's still pretty and the luminaries (which i didn't even try to get a picture of, having seen how the others were turning out) were way cool. plus, it's a christmas tradition-check that one off the list till next year.
ok, ok. i guess the temple is sorta pretty:).

Aren't the luminaries neat? They're 15+ years old. My mother-in-law was on the garden team that came up with ans made them all!
Hmm, that's on our list when we're in town. I haven't been in probably 6 or 7 years. Maybe looking at your pics and we'll call it good? And then I'll find a nice neighborhood with LOTS of lights and consider it done? TBD...
